About the book

Where the Beetle Went for Lunch is Sonja Ringo's first collection of poetry. These pages contain whispers from the birds, and translate the howls of wolves. Sonja shares lessons learned in nature, and wisdom we stand to gain if we stop to listen.

The book is divided into five elemental chapters — Earth, Air, Fire, Water and Spirit. You will find in these poems a deep reverence for nature, and joyful celebration of the wild within us all. Sonja sings a love song for every plant, animal, fungi and insect, while telling stories of wild creatures and wondrous places.

Euphoric and hopeful, adventurous and raw,
Where the Beetle Went for Lunch takes readers on a journey of adoration for Earth's many faces and inhabitants, reminding us of the thread that connects us all.
