Every month, you'll receive one handmade piece of textile art — the month's chosen word, symbol, or design — needle-felted, embroidered, layered in fabric and wool. A safety pin is stitched to every piece, so it's ready to wear.
It arrives paired with a collectible wax-sealed letter of stories, observations, and curiosities gathered around it.
Both arrive together in a custom-stamped 6×9" envelope, ready to join your collection.

Soft Relic Society ships worldwide! Shipping is included for Canada and the USA. Everywhere else, there's a small $3 USD shipping fee per delivery.
Orders travel by untracked lettermail from Canada (that's what keeps costs down), so delivery times vary depending on where you are. You can read our full shipping policy here.

Yes and no. Every member receives the same relic each month (the same word, symbol, or design) but each one is handmade: needle-felted, embroidered, or layered in felt and fabric.
Variations in materials, colour, texture, shape, and weave mean no two will ever be exactly alike. That's what makes them so special!

You'll be charged on the day you subscribe, and on that same date each month after. Join anytime during the month — sign up by the last day to receive the following month's mailing.
Say you subscribe on May 18th — you'll be billed on the 18th of each month. Your first relic will be June's mailing, which ships in the first week of June.
Because billing and mailing run on different schedules, you may occasionally be charged for the next month before the previous relic arrives. Each payment corresponds to one monthly relic.
Annual members are charged once per year on their signup anniversary.

Yes! Enter the recipient's mailing address instead of your own at checkout — but use your own email address, so the subscription stays in your account and you can manage it anytime.
They'll receive a beautiful monthly gift from the Society.

Please keep your shipping address up to date in your subscription portal — note that updating your Shopify account address alone won't change where your deliveries are sent.
Each order is made by hand and carefully prepared for its journey, but occasionally things go astray in the mail.
If yours arrives damaged or doesn't make it to you, please get in touch and it will be made right.

Of course. Monthly memberships can be paused or cancelled at any time before your next billing date. If you've already been charged for a relic, it will still be made and sent to you.
Prefer to just miss a month? You can skip an upcoming shipment instead.
Annual memberships are prepaid for the full year and non-refundable. Cancel anytime to prevent renewal, and you'll keep receiving relics through the end of your prepaid year.
